The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) recently changed the way that individual drivers can access their online account. Previously, clients and their attorneys could access a client's online license portal by using basic identifying information (license number, date of birth, and last four digits of SSN). That is no longer possible.

All drivers must now create their own individual Mass.gov username and password to access their RMV information. If you would like our office to access your portal directly, you will need to create an account and share your login credentials with us.

Due to this change, the easiest way for Gilman Law P.C. to schedule a Registry hearing on your behalf is by using the information contained on a suspension notice. Suspension notices are automatically generated and mailed to you via USPS mail. Each suspension notice has a Letter ID. That Letter ID can be used to schedule hearings on your behalf in an effort to work around this new complicated login process.

In the event you did not receive a suspension notice and cannot figure out how to access your online account, hearings can still be scheduled through a mechanism only available to attorneys.

If you have questions or need help gathering the necessary information, please contact Gilman Law.  More information about the new RMV system is also available online herehttps://www.mass.gov/how-to/register-for-a-mymassgov-personal-account
