Matthew Gilman has dedicated his career to helping clients regain their driving freedoms by fighting against unfair license suspensions and criminal defense. Attorney Gilman has specialized in OUI defense and defending clients in motor vehicle related criminal cases. He appears in District Courts throughout the Commonwealth as well as the Division of Insurance Board of Appeals and Registry of Motor Vehicles Driver Control Unit. Having worked as a Suspensions Hearing Officer at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, Attorney Gilman knows what it takes to help his clients regain their driving privileges.

Background and Education

Attorney Gilman graduated from Clark University with a bachelor's degree as well as a Master of Public Administration. Attorney Gilman graduated Summa Cum Laude and was second in his graduating class from Suffolk University Law School. Attorney Gilman earned Dean's List each semester and won numerous awards while in law school.

On a personal note…

Attorney Gilman has two young sons who are very active in local and travel sports. Attorney Gilman serves on the Board of Directors for the local little league and coaches local soccer, basketball and baseball teams.

Attorney Gilman spent the first seven years after graduating college working in State Government. Attorney Gilman started his professional career working as the advance staff person for the Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts for over three years.
